You know how when you are getting ready to move you find all these little gems in town you didn't know about... it happened in Bloomington... and it was happening for a large chunk of my day. I should spend more time n Albert Park. I walked by the old parliament building and found this little section of the city that is quite Victorian... and the leaves were falling from the trees... and I was crunching them under my footsteps. I forgot how much I like fall.
(This street was like a Victorian version of 4th St in Bloomington, by Bombay House, when the leaves turn)
Liz will be here in 8 hours.
...and it is fall.

Me? I'm well. We've navigated our first few days of on sale-ed-ness. Good results. One issue, but it was our hosting solution. Our team did a good job and I am incredibly proud of our ticket sellers. Very, very proud. This time tomorrow Liz will be sitting on an aeroplane waiting to take off for AKL and I'll have my hire car to putt around the city in... So, I promise more photos soon. I'll be away from the office for a bit... which, aside from being part of my deal to come down, will be a nice little experiment. Hopefully it'll be a good confidence booster and it will expose the gaps that I need to fill in before I'm back to North America.

so, pretty cool, eh? And with that... I'm still a bit peeved at Clear Channel. I just want to listen to a radio programme... which is free. Why can't I listen to it on this IP address? Yeah, I don't understand why you wouldn't want a loyal listener to continue to listen. Yes, I know Leo Laporte has a show here, too. But that isn't what I want. I also can't watch "free" programmes from NBC, etc. Whatever.

• Silverchair is apparently still a band. I am currently watching some live footage of them. I have seen a couple other videos where they seem like a watered-down Savage Garden/Muse lovechild. This song makes them seem like a very, very watered-down Shudder To Think, Like they finally stopped listening to Pearl Jam and started listening to Shudder to Think. yeesh.


• We started taking groups orders today. topped $200k


• Nobody knows why a certain musical, in which a man wears a mask on half his face, advertises with a full (double-sided) mask. Even the promoter/producers.


• The best part of working till half 10... walking home through the city at night. I like evenings. The worst part... not being able to chat up my wife because I was working till half 10.


• Our little musical about a bus is really, really good. I don't think I've ever REALLY wanted to see a musical again so soon... ever.


• Especially true if that musical has ALW anywhere near it

We have tried. I was excited that Beijing won the bid too (although Chicago or London would have been nice). We have been bombarded with news on the terrible things the government is doing.
